Infinitum Receives 2023 Sustainability Leadership Award from Business Intelligence Group

AUSTIN, Texas–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Infinitum, creator of the breakthrough air core motor, today announced it has received a 2023 Sustainability Leadership Award from the Business Intelligence Group. The Sustainability Awards program honors the people, teams and organizations that have made sustainability an integral part of their business practice or overall mission.

Electric motors consume 53% of the world’s electricity, yet motors haven’t changed in 100 years. Traditional motors are heavy, waste energy and finite natural resources, and most motors go into landfills after 10-20 years.

Infinitum is leading the sustainable industrial revolution with an innovative motor that saves money, uses fewer raw materials and reduces waste. Infinitum’s game changing motors consume 10% less energy and are 50% smaller and lighter than traditional motors. The motor’s modular design and reusable components mean that it can be kept in service and out of the landfill. When it’s time to retire the motor, Infinitum will reuse what it can to remanufacture a new motor for the next generation.

Infinitum is building capacity to produce millions of its sustainable motors each year to serve a wide range of markets – impacting the world by reducing the emissions typically associated with motors. If every motor in the world were replaced by an Infinitum motor, it would eliminate 860 million Metric Tons of CO2 per year or the equivalent of removing 200 million cars from the road annually.

At Infinitum we are driven by the goal of reducing the world’s carbon footprint through the mass adoption of sustainable motors, and we are at the forefront of these efforts through our sustainable motor design, cleaner manufacturing and rapid growth,” said Ben Schuler, founder and CEO, Infinitum. “This prestigious award is a testament to the hard work and dedication of the entire Infinitum team, and we are honored to be recognized for demonstrating leadership in sustainability.”

We are proud to reward and recognize Infinitum for their sustainability efforts,” said Maria Jimenez, Chief Nominations Officer, Business Intelligence Group. “It was clear to our judges that their vision and strategy will continue to deliver results toward a cleaner, more sustainable world.”
