TeraWatt Appoints New Vice President of Business Development

Jonathan Colbert, former director at Rivian, joins TeraWatt to build out business development organization

SAN FRANCISCO–(BUSINESS WIRE)–TeraWatt Infrastructure, a company providing best in class charging services for fleets in the U.S., today announced the appointment of Jonathan Colbert as vice president of business development.

Jonathan Colbert is a mission-driven senior business development executive with additional expertise in automotive marketing and operational strategy. In his new position at TeraWatt, Jonathan will be responsible for building out the business development organization which entails contracting and partnerships, sales, marketing, customer operations, and revenue operations. His priorities over the next six months include growing TeraWatt’s team, engaging with customers, and increasing marketing efforts.

Before joining TeraWatt, Jonathan worked at electric vehicle manufacturer Rivian where he developed the go-to-market strategy and planned the deployment of over 10,000 charging stations as the director of the Rivian Waypoints Network. Prior to Rivian, Jonathan was one of the founding members of the Mercedes-Benz USA CASE (Connected, Autonomous, Shared + Services, Electric) Team. As the company’s charging and infrastructure lead for North America, he was responsible for the roll out of electric vehicle charging infrastructure at Mercedes-Benz dealerships and Daimler facilities, along with customer-focused charging mobility services and home installation services. Before pivoting to business development, Jonathan managed national marketing campaigns for Mercedes-Benz volume vehicles, smart cars, and E-mobility. Prior to Mercedes-Benz USA, Jonathan was a director of marketing at Techtronic Industries, N.A. where he drove all integrated brand marketing efforts for RIDGID® Power Tools, HART™ Hand Tools, and Arctic Cove™. Jonathan holds an MBA of Management Technology from Georgia Institute of Technology and a Bachelor of Science in Marketing and Sales from Florida State University.
