Growing CO West Transportation LLC a key priority for Brafford

TELLURIDE, Colo.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Ogilvie Family Limited Partnership (OFLP) is excited to announce its new President, Garrett Brafford, formerly of Telluride Mountain Village Owner Association. Brafford brings a background in finance, real estate development and management, and transportation, which allows for information-based decisions through detailed analysis, from his financial roles at Telluride Mountain Village Owner Association, Telluride Tourism Board to his consulting firms Catapult Consulting LLC and Telluride Consulting LLC.

Brafford will lead management of OFLP’s investments, including crude trading, commercial real estate/warehouse management, light commercial development, logistics and trucking terminals throughout the southwest, and other portfolio assets. Brafford will also oversee strategic growth that prioritizes customer satisfaction through experience and value.

One of Brafford’s key priorities is growing CO West Transportation LLC, a transportation company owned by OFLP that includes Alpine Express, Telluride Express, American Spirit Shuttle, CB Limo and GO Alpine. He will shepherd CO West’s short and long-term goals and strategies, workforce operations, budgets and the allocation of resources.

“One of our biggest challenges, as with many operators all over the country, is the limited labor pool,” Brafford said. “We are maximizing efficiency of our operations to improve driver utilization and improving our driver recruitment strategy.”

Amid growing concerns over the computer chip shortage that has slowed global automotive production, Brafford is focusing his immediate efforts on acquiring fleets across the country to support their growth plan.

“We have purchased vehicles as far away as Maine and Miami, as we anticipate a busy winter season paired with our expanding operations,” Brafford said. “Adding routes that allow us to shuttle people to their destinations means touching many lives. I’m excited to help Colorado reduce the number of cars on the road, increase accessibility to our locations, and help with employment and housing challenges by getting people where they need to go.”

“We are excited to have Garrett join our team and help position the company for new opportunities,” said Landon Ogilvie, owner of CO West and Ogilvie Family Limited Partnership. “His experience with transportation committees, his consulting firms and work with government entities like San Miguel County, the town of Telluride and Mountain Village will bring a unique perspective on the transportation service industry.”

Ogilvie added, “We want people to think of CO West not as just a transportation company, but rather a service to enjoy the experience of traveling through Colorado. Our guests’ visit to Colorado begins when they step on board with us.”
