See you at SEMA 2018?

Yes, it’s official. Auto Enthusiasts Newsblaster will indeed be represented at SEMA 2018 (October 30-November 2 in Las Vegas) this year, by yours truly.

I will of course want to check out the many cool builds scheduled to be on display, like the Maxlider Brothers/Union Pacific Industries 1966 Ford Bronco resto-mod and the Prestone Javelin AMX by Ringbrothers. Watch for photos of goodies like these to show up on our website and social media.  I plan to be posting throughout the show to our Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.

However, since it will be the first time that Auto Enthusiasts Newsblaster has been on-site to cover the event, the primary area of focus will be the major vendor press conferences, as a way of absorbing the broadest possible perspective on everything the show has to offer—and also as a way of assessing whether it will make sense to make covering SEMA an annual ritual.

As anyone familiar with SEMA knows, there is no shortage of press conferences. I’ll be at the show all day Tuesday and Wednesday, as well as Thursday morning (yes, I’m unfortunately going to miss the SEMA Ignited after-party), and the press conferences alone were enough to pack the calendar almost completely.

That said, there are a few gaps here and there on the daily schedule. And then there are the evenings.

So if anyone from the industry would like to connect to discuss possible stories, or for plain-old networking or just to say “Hello,” hit me up at auto.enthusiasts.news@gmail.com. I would also be pleased to connect with any colleagues from the automotive media.

Meanwhile, safe travels and best wishes for an exciting and successful show to everyone attending.

See you at SEMA!
