If you can spare $10, that’s enough to buy a raffle ticket that could win a glorious 2020 Mustang Shelby GT500 that Ford is donating to raise funds supporting JDRF, an organization dedicated to finding a cure for type 1 diabetes.

Ford’s JDRF Mustang Shelby GT500 features a one-of-a-kind paint scheme for the model: a Venom metallic clearcoat that the automaker describes as “a stealthy charcoal color,” accented with black racing stripes.

It’s also equipped with the Carbon Fiber Track Package, a trim level that includes carbon fiber wheels, Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires, a rear seat-delete, leather-trimmed Recaro seats, and a Mustang GT4 track wing.

“Building on the excitement around GT500 is a terrific way to help JDRF fund research and help find a cure for Type 1 diabetes,” said Dave Pericak, Ford’s director of enterprise product line management. “Not only does this raffle provide an opportunity to win the most powerful production Ford ever, it also speaks to how Ford strives to make people’s lives better.”

The automaker says they have been supporting JDRF’s fundraising raffles for almost 10 years by donating vehicles. This year, the goal is to sell 75,000 raffle tickets to fund type 1 diabetes research, programming, and awareness.

In addition to the Mustang Shelby GT500 slated for the first-place raffle winner, a second-place winner will receive a VIP trip for two to the 2020 Daytona 500.

Tickets, available until November 10, are for sale online for $10 each at https://p2p.onecause.com/jdrfgt500. The drawing is set for November 14 at the Ford Conference and Event Center, 1151 Village Road, Dearborn, Michigan. Entrants are not required to be present to win.

According to Ford, the winner will be responsible for income taxes amounting to about 25 percent of the vehicle’s value, as well as other vehicle taxes, licensing, insurance and shipping.

If you want to buy one on your own, the 2020 Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 starts at US$70,300, according to Motor1. You can also expect to pay a gas guzzler tax of US$2,600 and a destination fee of US$1,095.
